JSR for Echo Framework?

Hi,

Being a (very) happy user of the Echo Framework, I was wondering if there is a JSR to make it a standard. Swing is already part of the Java platform: the idea would be to extend it to the Web, or propose a new framework. Is this somehow realistic? Are there reasons this could not be done and/or should not be done?

Lot of work and red tape

A JSR requires lot of work and red tape. Try reading some of Jason Hunter's comments about him giving up on a JSR for JDOM. This is probably why lot of good frameworks do not bother with it.
